I love this place. I have been going here since I was a freshman at UO in 1999 and the taste has remained consistently awesome each time. Why? The same cook that has been cooking the Best Chicken Fried Rice is still there. I don’t know what they put in it but it is the best, hands down! I live in Portland but when I visit Eugene, the Maple Garden is my must eat. I want more of that Chicken Fried Rice Now!

I have been going to this place for years. It's the real quality and there super nice and it's on the University collage area. Great food and good prices. I love this place and I have to go there every week. Nice day and night. M+L.

On the surface a review of this nature seems unnecessary, like a weatherman telling you it’s raining when a simple check of the sky would tell you all you need to know. But like speaking truth to power some things cannot be understated and must be maintained with ever vigilant courage. So too, this diamond in the rough must be accoladed for what it is. As historic as the university itself, it’s cuisine is at the same time the people’s food, and yet packs options for the more discerning among us. There are a few moments in your life you never forget. The marriage to your wife, the first child, the pick..... but among all these timeless memories is that first time you taste Maple Cats Mandarin Chicken. As sure a bet as the railroads in days long past, in today’s confusing world it’s always constant always abiding and always there. As any review is incomplete without an honest assessment of that which might be lacking. As I sit here at 10AM I feel great loss at the two full hours it will be before I have that which my heart desires. Yet almost as if we had one great lesson left to learn in this day of instant gratification this too maple cat leads us to grow. It whispers on patience my dear duck. Patience.

I'm just making a review to say that I ordered from this place when I saw the elaborate review. The guy who ordered the mandarin chicken and talked of railroads days past. It really was that good lol.
